Two cities, one engineering bar.
Syntax Nova Solutions was founded to close a gap we kept seeing from the inside: growth-stage companies needed senior product engineering, but most studios offered either boutique craft at boutique prices, or cheap capacity with thin oversight. We built a studio that refuses that trade-off.
Our story
Founded on a simple frustration
Syntax Nova Solutions started in Tallinn in 2019, when our founding engineers — veterans of Estonia's e-government and fintech scenes — kept meeting growth-stage teams stuck between two bad options: an agency that treated engineering as a commodity line item, or an in-house hiring process too slow for the roadmap in front of them.
We opened with a small team split between Tallinn and Chișinău from the start, betting that Moldova's deep, underrated engineering talent pool — paired with Estonia's product and design sensibility — could deliver senior-grade work at a price that made sense for companies past their seed round but not yet flush with headcount budget.
That bet held. Today we run every engagement as one team across both cities, with no junior "offshore" tier and no boutique "onshore" tier — just engineers matched to the problem.

Two hubs, one delivery standard
Chișinău, Moldova
Our largest engineering team works from Chișinău, home to one of Eastern Europe's strongest technical universities and a fast-growing software sector. It's where most of our production code is written, reviewed, and shipped.

Engineering culture & values
One team, no tiers
Every engineer on an engagement, in either city, works from the same architecture docs, the same review standard, and the same sprint cadence. There is no "senior" city and "junior" city.
Working software, every sprint
We demo real, running software every two weeks — not slide decks. If a sprint doesn't produce something you can click on, we consider it a miss.
Documentation is not optional
Architecture decisions, runbooks, and onboarding docs ship alongside the code. A project isn't done when it works — it's done when your team can maintain it without us.
Honest scoping over billable hours
We'd rather tell you a timeline is unrealistic in week one than pad a retainer for a year. Fixed-scope proposals and transparent squad rates keep incentives aligned.
